Abstract

This book chapter presents a comparative essay around the meaning of inclusion in the differing contexts of South Africa and Northern Ireland. it is presented in the form of a conversation between a three educationalists, one from the School of Education at the University of Ulster and two from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal. It attempts to explore how inclusion is viewed both theoretically and in practical ways and how the concept of inclusive education has influenced both policy and legislation within both countries.
