Abstract
This article explores how societies in transition might address victims' quest for 'truth', or more specifically micro-level information. It does this by using a case study of the Historical Enquiries Team (HET) established by the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI). The HET is unique in the world of policing and is breaking new ground as an approach to transitional justice.
