Abstract
Digital video has become increasingly susceptible to spatio-temporal manipulations as a result of recent advances in video editing tools. Therefore it is difficult to get video records to stand up as 100% secure evidence in court, for example for a criminal evidence. In this paper, we propose a novel digital video authentication approach based on a secure self-embedding technique. Our approach allows authentication of the origin of the video data from the embedded information after reasonablespatial manipulations. In addition, temporal manipulations can also be detected using our approach.
