Abstract
This report contains the findings of a major research project that involved the examination of public attitudes to searches, police records and complaints received by Office of the Police Ombudsman. The community consultation element of the research (Pages 24-56) was conducted on behalf of the Office of the Police Ombudsman by Trademark (Bloomer and Nolan) . Using a combination of interviews and focus groups Trademark sought the views of individuals and communities throughout Northern Ireland on the subject of police searches of domestic properties.
