Abstract
Isolation is intended to reflect artistic practice in a technological environment; an interactive digital art installation that invites the audience to initiate and complete the experience; using animation, computer generated modelling, film, music and audio to generate a uniquely immersive experience for the user. The rationale behind the production reflects on the quest to apply a visual language to creative practices that exploit new media platform; discourse around the legality of the medium; and draws upon both historic and contemporary debates analysing the ubiquitous conflict between art and technology.
