Abstract

Building on Template 1.0 - first exhibited at SightSonic Festival, York, 2008 - Template 2.0 presents an ambitious interdisciplinary multiformat exhibition curated by Christopher Murphy and Joe Gilmore. Template 2.0 presents works by a cross-section of internationally respected digital artists and was part of the ISEA2009 conference held in Belfast in August.ISEA, the Inter-Society of Electronic Arts, is an international nonprofit organisation situated at the interface between arts, science and digital technologies. Template 2.0 is the second instalment in an ongoing series, doubling at each iteration.In addition to an innovative new sound component, the exhibition features works by a cross-section of internationally respected digital artists including: Alorenz (Austria); Dextro (Germany); Lia (Portugal); and Velluminous (USA).
