Abstract

This colloquium paper was presented at the Graduate Centre for Study of Drama, in partnership with Professor Joachim Fiebach (Freien Universität Berlin). The colloquium explored the incorporation of oral epic material into drama, using selected works of W.B. Yeats and Wole Soyinka to illustrate the application of post-colonial theory to drama and theatrical performance.
