Abstract
17 Prime Makers was a group exhibition selected by Moira Vincentelli and Eve Ropek (Wales) and Frane Keane and Jim Turner (Ireland). The exhibition was funded by Objective 1 European ERDF funding under the Interreg 111A initiative.The exhibition brought together 17 Welsh and Irish makers in two venues in 2007: The Farmleigh Gallery, Dublin under the offices of the Office of Public Works and the Aberyswyth Arts Centre Wales. Under the name 'Feile Clai' Ceramics Ireland and the International Ceramics Festival Wales formed a partnership to develop and impliment '17 Prime Makers.Sponsors of the Exhibition were the Aberyswyth Arts Centre, Ceramics Ireland, Farmleigh Gallery, the Crafts Council of Ireland, the International Ceramics Festival (Wales) the Dept. of Finance (Irl.), the Welsh European Funding Office, Interreg 111A and the Office of Public Works (Irl.)
