Abstract

A collection of essays that explore aspects of the BBC in Northern Ireland since 1924 when the Belfast station was established. Essays cover news and current affairs broadcasting, the early days of radio, education broadcasting, television drama and the troubles and the responsibilities and problems facing public service broadcasting in a divided community like Northern Ireland.
