Abstract
An analytical model for the equivalent jet diameter of high-pressure leaks of hydrogen through very small channels when friction and minor losses are not negligible is developed. Effect of losses on the equivalent jet diameter and the mass flow rate is studied. Comparison between predictions of the notional nozzle diameter by a previously developed model without accounting for flow losses, the new model accounting for losses, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations is presented.
