Abstract
Conference paper discussing the impact of public art on public spaces, referencing Richard Serra's destroyed 'Tilted Arc', anxiety and impact within the built environment.The focus of the paper dealt with twentieth century public sculpture also referencing memorials, temporary installation and public reaction to public sculpture.Paper also referenced the impact of commissioned Artworks within medical institutions in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
