One of four pieces of Ceramic Sculpture by Brian Kennedy, independent curator, commissioned by the National Craft Gallery of Ireland (NCGI) to curate the Gallery Showcase at SOFA 2008. (Sculptural Object, Functional Art), Navy Pier, Chicago, Nov. 2008.'Floating Outcrop' was selected by Brian Kennedy for inclusion in the SOFA Exhibition Catalogue under the NCGI section.ISBN 0-9789206-1-9.'Floating Outcrop' was then acquired under the joint purchase scheme of the Crafts Council of Ireland and the Irish Dept. of Foreign Affairs, to go into the Embassies Collection of the Irish Dept. of Foreign Affairs. to tour the various collections of Irish Embassies around the world.
