Abstract
Stung was written for Paul Roe who gave the first performance on 20th April 2010 in the Great Hall at the University of Ulster. The piece continues threads of investigation into formal structuring using short contrasting sections, the use of interval class sets to generate pitch material and the exploration of extended techniques and virtuosity.
