Abstract
The artist through local community consultation designed a local park in memory of Dave Gallaher a famous All Black originally from the town of Ramelton in Donegal. Once the park design was accepted by the local community and received funding from the Donegal County Council, the artist then designed Six Artworks based on Ramelton's context and history. These were then sited in the Dave Gallaher Park, Ramelton. Each of the six artworks is constructed in Limestone with shot-blast imagery over the visible surface. They each measure 2M x 1M. Imagery and text have been derived from Community consultation and contextual research taking into account local history, community interests, flora and fauna.Artworks funded under the HEART Sculpture Trail Programme.Dave Gallaher Park design in consultation with local community group, Ramelton, Co. Donegal, as part of HEART Sculpture trail, Cross Border Ary Programme funded by Donegal County Council and European Community.
