This paper examines the representation of Judas in medieval Irish and Hiberno-Latin sources and in Irish folklore, especially the origin, content and structure of what is known as the story of 'Judas' Sunday Rest'. The connections between this story and the concepts of neutral angels and interim locations between heaven and hell are also investigated.
